chicago house producer craig loftis aka grand high priest, began his production career engineering for frankie knuckles, as well as working as the in house producer/engineer at legendary chicago house label dj international. he came back onto the scene in 2006 with a release under his grand high priest alias, with the underground dance smash that is “mary mary”, a simple and infectious house groove featuring the sublime vocal talents of legendary chicago songstress dajae, supported by djs such as kenny dope, phil asher and karizma. we have here new remixes for 2011 courtesy of altered natives (eye4eye), bok bok (night slugs) and yannah valdevit.

it is a great honor for us to welcome such a living legend, a pioneer from the chicago house scene: mr k alexi shelby ! at the age of 12 he was already moving in the right circles, befriending frankie knuckles and ron hardy whilst frequenting the famous warehouse. his upbringing in chicago in the 70s and 80s meant that he was exposed to a range of genres and different styles of music including stevie wonder, prince, curtis mayfield and david huff. these same names would prove to be the roots of his influences. for his first collaboration with syncrophone, k alexi delivers a sublime set of new unreleased tracks + a new edit of his classical my medusa previously released in 1989, here called my sweet mf. year 2011, mr k alexi shelby is definitely back for a future classix

lory ds idiosyncratic take on techno is an all-analogue assault on the senses, a soundtrack to the end of the world punctured by shards of acid and twisted metal soundscapes. a john carpenter for the rave generation, so to speak. the enigmatic lory is something of a legend in his native city of rome, where the former dmc champion was responsible for introducing his compatriots the sounds of techno, acid and hardcore with 5.000 strong raves featuring ritchie hawtin, underground resistance, joey beltram and lfo. his label sounds never seen was the soundtrack to these raves – an industrial yet sometimes beautiful vision of techno where drexciya, frankie bones and spk jammed in the roman sewers.

next 12 inch on the new sub-label by munich-based gomma records for their output of club-focused 12 inch maxis - telonius gets the remix-treatment by zombie nation and moulinex !!! with his project telonius, jonas imbery one of the 2 chiefs of gomma records is returning to his musical roots - early house music from the 80ies and 90ies. his inspired dj-sets convey a dense and rich musical texture, spanning from frankie knuckles warehouse inspired retro house and loft-style disco music to brand new club productions. never sounding stuck in the past, but with both feet firmly based in the current musical streams of electronic club sound, which also shows in the productions for telonius.
